Meet Shane Ericksen

Bio

Shane Ericksen is a lifelong healthcare innovator with deep roots in Utah medicine. Born to Dr. Corey Ericksen, who practiced family medicine at Westside Medical in Clinton for over 30 years, Shane began his career managing the family’s assisted living facility, Country Pines. He later founded and built Family Tree Assisted Living in West Point and another 52 bed facility in Morgan, then launched Baby Boomer Consulting, helping design, build, and manage more than a dozen senior care communities across the state.

Driven by a personal journey overcoming opiate dependency through plant-based medicine, Shane opened The Lighted Path wellness spa in 2012 which offered an array of naturopathic and alteranative therapies.  His next healthcare venture was the founding and licensuure of Men’s Tribal House Recovery Residence in 2018 — Utah’s first addiction recovery facility to incorporate medical cannabis for those transitioning off opiates, alcohol, and other deadly narcotics. He co-founded Empathetix Wellness, which grew into Utah’s largest medical cannabis clinic with 7 locations from Ogden to St. George, helping over 50,000 patients access the program!  Shane found this some of the most rewarding work of his career.

Today, Shane brings his pioneering expertise in plant medicine — including ownership of Farm to Pharma CBD, the first Utah company to register and distribute full-spectrum hemp products, registered with the Utah Dept. of Agriculture and legally placed on retail pharmacy shelves.  Shanes products have helped tens of thousands of Utah pain and mental health patients find relief the natural way.

Now, together with his father’s decades of traditional medical experience at NextGen Medical in Clearfield. The clinic blends Eastern and Western approaches, offering bio-identical hormone therapy, medical weight loss, Peptide Therapy, mental health support including ketamine therapy, orthopedic massage, pain management, medical cannabis, and family practice. Accepting insurance soon, NextGen empowers patients to take control of their health with compassionate, comprehensive care.
